Patrick Villevoye was closely involved in founding the ‘Huis van de Logistiek’, the Logistics House. It is a place where logistics partners meet, where they can find service companies and rent instruction rooms. Patrick’s company is housed there: Logistic Force, one of the fastest-growing companies in the Netherlands.
“Tilburg was the first city with a Logistics House,” says Patrick Villevoye, president and owner of Logistic Force. “It is also one of its kind in the Netherlands.”
Established at business park Vossenberg in January 2013, the House was initiated by Midpoint Brabant, which stimulates regional economic collaboration.
Logistic Force is one of the largest tenants in Logistics House. “We occupy about half the offices,” says Patrick. “We also use most of the instruction rooms and the training hall with its order picking street.”
Networking organization LMB’s living room
In 2016, the Dutch Association for Transport and Logistics (TLN) settled in the House. It has also become the ‘living room’ for Logistics Mid-Brabant (LMB), a networking organization for entrepreneurs, authorities and trainers.
Patrick is a member of the LMB’s Image group, which organizes the annual Logistics Day. The Human Capital group set up LSM, a logistics employment agency for students. The Innovation group, in turn, established Pitch Logistics, a project that supports smart ideas that innovate the sector.
Logistics House has become a meeting place for the sector. “We organize debates, workshops, drinks, informal gatherings and other events,” Patrick explains. In the fall of 2016, we elected the first Best Logistics Start-up Brabant.
Right at home
Logistic Force has truly found a home at Logistics House. They offer payroll as well as recruitment and selection services. “We are responsible for many new recruits.” The Logistic Force Academy also offers dozens of training courses. Employees can turn to us for their driver’s license C or forklift certificate, but also for courses in damage prevention or working with hazardous substances.
In 2015, Logistic Force won the High Growth Award for the fastest-growing business in the region. The director/owner’s starting point is that in every business relation, something is in it for both parties. “We coach jobseekers on a path they have mapped out for themselves. We link employers to motivated staff who wish to commit for a longer period of time.”
Patrick believes in collaboration and knowledge sharing. These values also characterize the entrepreneurial climate in Mid-Brabant. Dozens of companies in the sector contribute to the region’s profile as a logistic hotspot, and all parties involved benefit from this position. “Our leading position also generates new innovation.”
